Ancient Orchomenos, near Levidi, is an important archaelogical site of Arcadia and Peloponnese.
Normally, ancient sites are not included in “Kastrologos”, but in Orchomenos, atop the hill, there are remains of a medieval castle.
Structure, Fortification & Buildings
It is a small tower. Its base is 7✖10m and its height 2-4m. The materials for the construction came mostly from the ancient site of Orchomenos. There is a subterranean water tank along the whole length of the tower.
Next to the tower are ruins of another building and the remains of the outer fortification.
