The fortified complex of the warlord Sklavounakos is outside, to the south, of the village Pyrgos Dirou of Eastern Mani. Except from the tower, it includes a two-storey-house, cisterns, a chapel, a cemetery and an animal yard.
It was built in 1821.
The tower has six floors and is 15m high. It is one of the tallest towers of Mani. It is surrounded by a 5m high fortification wall.
