Remains of a Genoan tower complex above the chapel of Agia Eleousa on the top of a hill northwest of village Zyfias of central Chios island.
Zyfias is one of the Kambochora of Chios. Kambochora is a group of villages in the fertile south-central part of the island. The organisation of the production by the Genoans, in the 14th and 15th centuries, brought growth, wealth and increased demand for fortified tower-houses and mansions.
This tower was part of a complex with a fortified perimeter that once included also the chapel of Agia Eleousa.
