Remains of a watchtower on the top of the hill at the southern side of the beach where is the monastery of Agia Marcella in northeastern Chios, in the area of Volissos.
Probably, it has been one of the key viglas since it had visual contact with almost all the viglas of the west coast of the island, as well as with the powerful castle of Volissos.
A comprehensive article about the history and the construction of the vigles of Chios, is published in the blog of Kastrologos: Βίγλες της Χίου . (In Greek only, I am afraid)
