A well maintained small fort in the island of Koronisia in the Ambracian gulf. It is a twin fort of the koules of Laskara.
These two forts were built in 1807, when the notorious Ali pasha was ruling the region. According to another theory, they were built much later, perhaps after 1860, when the Turks had made an effort to reinforce their defensive positions in the Ambracian gulf (which those days was the frontier between Turkey and Greece).
