|
A Turkish outpost on the old frontierline between Greece and Ottoman Empire which was agreed at the treaty of Constantinople of 1832.
The fort is in a region named Platy on the road from Komboti to Floriada and to other villages on the mountains of the prefecture of Arta. It controlled a small bridge over the river.
It remained in use until 1881 when the borders moved further to the north and this line of forts became obsolete.
