On a hill above the little village Kochyli (old name:Lakakoukia) there are few remains of a little castle with a tower, preserved at low height.
The castle was built by the Franks probably in the 13th century in the place of an older Byzantine fortification.
It is located between the castles of Mila and Vulcano (does not exist today) and was part of a defensive network, the purpose of which, those days, was to repel the attacks of the Greeks of the Despotate of Moreas.
The castle extended on an area of about 3000 sq.m. Some remains of the walls are visible at the slopes. The dimensions of the tower are 9.25x6.70 meters and the thickness of the walls 2.70 meters.
Today it is totally destroyed and the last remaining ruins are covered by the vegetation of the hill.
