Remains of a tower on a rock, west of the village Anemodouri of Arcadia, SE of Tripolis.
It is a two-storey construction preserved at a height of 6.08m.
History
The tower is not mentioned by historic sources. Its chronology is uncertain. Most probably it was built during the ottoman period, sometime between the 15th and the 18th century.
The role of the tower must have been the control of the agrarian lands south of Anemodouri, like most of the isolated towers that the the Turks have been built in that period to protect their estates.
