A tower-house with some fortification elements at the center of the picturesque village of Agios Vasileios on the eastern slopes of mt. Parnon in southeastern Peloponnese.
History
The village exists at least since 1700, the year that it is mentioned in the Venetian census by the providore of Moreas Grimani.
It is a construction of the late 18th or early 19th century.
Structure, Fortification & Buildings
The 3-storey building is preserved in relatively good condition. The entrance is at the 1st floor protected by a machicolation . Another feature of the tower’s defense is a small cylindrical turret at the top of one of the corners of the tower.
