The monastery of Metamorphosis is located south of the city of Nafplion and west of Asini, close to the village Agia Paraskevi (old name: Tselo).
Very close to the monastery, there is a tower which used to have 5 floors.
We do not have more info about it. Maybe it was built together with the monastery (before the 16th century) or it was independently constructed as part of a Venetian network of fortifications for the protection of the port of Nafplion, because from the tower the bay of Karathon is visible (at the entrance of the bay of Nafplion).
So probably (but not certainly) this was a Venetian tower built around the 14th century.
