One of the house-towers of Naxos. There are many of this kind on the island. Built during the Venetian occupation of Naxos, most of them are in the interior, away from the sea and without particular attention to defense elements in their construction.
The tower of Oskelos is an exemption: it is rather close to the sea and looks more like a fortified tower than a house. It is located near Kastraki, on the main road from the Chora of Naxos (15km).
