One of the characteristic tower-mansions of Naxos in the village Akadimoi, very close to Barozzi tower.
It belonged to Markos Politis or Markopolitis, one of the few Orthodox of Naxos to own such a building. The year of construction was 1776 according to an inscription above the door of the 2nd floor.
Markopolitis led a rebellion against local feudal lords and was exiled to Lesbos where in 1802 was hanged by the Turks.
In 1888 the tower was bought by the Papadakis family.
