|
A castle on a steep rock north of the village Kambia. On the same rock there is a small chapel of Agia Paraskevi.
It is not known when exactly it was constructed. Most probably it is Byzantine and it was abandoned before the Genoans came to the island.
Some parts of the fortifications are saved but there are no buildings.

Approach to the monument: |
There is a road going north from Kambia passing very close to the rock (1.5km from the village). There are steps on the rock leading to the castle on the top. |
Entrance: |
Like most remote, ruined and neglected fortifications, entrance is not an issue. The difficult part is to go up the castle and walk around inside. |
