A Venetian tower inside the village Gymno in central Evia island. It is next to the main church of the village.
The Venetians had become the rulers of the Frankish territory of Chalkis since 1383. Until the end of their rule in 1470, when the Ottomans came, they constructed many towers like this in the area.
