A small fortress of the Ottoman period at the location Kefalas atop a hill west of Fodele.
Its purpose was to control the bay of Fodele. It was built in the 19th century like most of this type of forts in Crete.

Approach to the monument:
No road to the castle. To visit, some trekking is needed without serious difficulty.
Entrance:
The fort is unguarded and neglected.
