During the Frankish period, there were two towers controlling the mountain passage from the west coast of northern Evia to Mantoudi, in the east coast: the tower of Tsouka and this one, the tower of Farakla.
The tower is around 1 km from the village, at the cemetery.
The layout is square and its height today is 8 meters. The tower is almost completely covered by a tree.
