A square tower 2 km southwest from the village Dafnousa of North Evia with a view to the region of Mantoudi and further, to the North Aegean.
It is an unusually heavy construction with 15m long sides although not very tall today. The French Jean Alexandre Buchon who visited the area in 1841 reports the unexplained name “Bezas”. He also mentioned ruins of fortication lower in the hill which do not exist today. Perhaps the tower once was part of a bigger castle.
