Zarakes or Zarka is a village in Euboea south of Dystos. At the southern exit of the village there is this building which is not, in its present form, a tower or any other type of fortification.
This was a windmill which had been built at the place and with the materials of a Venetian tower.
The tower was a Venetian construction from the 15th century.
The building is included in Kastrologos, though a mill, mainly because it is mentioned in the valuable list of Theodore Skouras with the fortifications of Euboea.
