A ruined cylindrical tower at the monastery of Agios Ioannis (St John) Prodromos in Zakynthos island.
The monastery was founded in the beginning of the 17th century. The tower must have been constructed in the same period to provide protection against pirate raids. An inventory since 1753 reports two churches, seven houses and one defensive tower.
The monastery endured the big earthquake of 1953 but the tower was destroyed then and only part of its base remains today.
