The remains of a cylindrical vigla (watchtower), most probably from the Venetian period of Crete, in the fields between the villages Pythari (old name “Aroni”) and Sternes in the Akrotiri tegion of Chania.
The purpose of the post there was obviously the observation of the bay of Souda.
