|
A small fort at the SW end of Kos island. The position was suitable for the control of the strait between Nisyros and Kefalos.
There was already a fortification there in the 13th century which was reinforced by the knights of Rhodes in the 15th century.
The fort is ruined today. It was never an important castle anyway.
