Chartzani (Gr: Χαρτζάνι) is a ruined medieval tower in an area with the same name north of the town Karystos in Evia island.
The name of the tower derives from the legend of Queen Chartzana, a Byzantine princess who lived there in the era of emperor Basil II. The legend dates the tower in the 11th century or a little earlier. This chronology is supported by the type of construction of the monument which is clearly Byzantine and very different from the other Frankish and Venetian towers of Evia.
