This is the oldest tower of the island and was built by the Genoans between 1355-1375.
Legends & Tales
The area is the place of birth of Briseis (Βρισηΐς) a mythical queen in Asia Minor at the time of the Trojan War. Her character lies at the heart of a dispute between Achilles and Agamemnon that drives the plot of Homer's Iliad.
