A Frankish tower near Vravona in Attica region.
The tower was built by the Franks in the period when the Burgundian family of De LaRoche were the rulers of the Duchy of Athens, i.e. some time in the 13th century.
It is in better condition than other similar towers in the area. This one has 3 floors and its crenelation is almost intact.
The tower was part of a network of similar towers which secured the timely warning and the defense in cases of pirate raids. Moreover, the tower must have served as a surveying point for the fields in the area and as a house of a local lord.
