Ancient castle and settlement with an ellipsoid layout, inhabited from prehistoric times until the 6th century AD.
History
The construction of the fortress dates back to the late Roman period.
A strong fortification wall surrounds the citadel. There are also additional intermediate fortified enclosures to better organize and protect the citadel. Archaeological evidence (coins, shells, jewelry, metal objects, tools, stone tools, weapons, statuettes, bone tools, glass vases) confirm the usage from prehistory to the Byzantine period.
The acropolis was abandoned in the 6th century, probably as a consequence of barbarian invasions.
