Thermi is a region in eastern Lesbos island consisting of three settlements: Loutropolis of Thermi, Pyrgi (towers) of Thermi and Paralia (beach) of Thermi.
In this region, the wealthy of the island built, since the Genoan period, mansions with some defensive characteristics.
Some of them still survive but they have undergone serious modifications during the 20th century.
The tower of Magnisalis is probably the oldest of this group of tower-houses, dated back to the 16th century.
