A castle with 7 towers controlling the passage from Filiates to Sagiada and the sea. It was probably built in the Late-Roman period (or the early-Byzantine) but was also in use during the Byzantine and the Ottoman periods.
The perimeter of the walls is 360 m and the total area of the castle is 0.55 hectares. The main gate is on the east side. There are two more gates in the west and in the north side.
