Ruins of an ancient stone tower from the Hellenistic period, built probably in the era of the Aetolian League (370-189 B.C.).
The tower was in use during the Medieval period as well. It was probably used as an observatory by the Serbs of Stefan Ducan who occupied the area in the 14th century. It appears that it was deserted after the beginning of the 15th century, when the Ottomans arrived
In the middle of the ruins, a column has been installed by the Geographical department of the Greek Army.
