A tower in the monastery of Metamorphosis of Paleokarya, south of the village Krania of Elassona.
History
The monastery, originally, was built in the early 17th century. In 1792, it was reconstructed completely, while additional renovation took place in 1806.
The tower was built in 1801 according to an inscription at the top.
The tower is in good condition. Obviously, it has undergone some restoration recently, like the rest of the monastery, but it seems that these new works have not deteriorated the original form of the monument.
