Mandraki is a village at the northern side of Lake Kerkini. The castle is most probably from the Late-Byzantine period, although there is evidence that an ancient town was at this location (Sindia). The remaining wall today is part of the fence of the cemetery of the village.
The village otherwise is worth visiting being one of the ports of lake Kerkini, one of the most important wetlands in Europe.
