NE of Myrsini village, close to the northern shore of Crete and 24km west of Sitia there is mall, rectangular tower next to the chapel of St Antonios.
The tower was Venetian and built around the 16th century. It was probably the house of a local lord or maybe just a watchtower (the visibility to the coast is good).
A big part of the tower was collapsed after a storm in 1918 and destroyed the little church next to it. The church was rebuilt in 1920. The tower was renovated in 1990.
